Apple Music unveils DJ with Apple Music

Apple has introduced DJ with Apple Music, an integrated experience designed to streamline music access for DJs across leading software and hardware platforms.

Partnering with leading DJ software and hardware platforms like AlphaTheta, Serato, and inMusic’s Engine DJ, Denon DJ, Numark, and RANE DJ, Apple Music now enables subscribers to mix and curate sets directly from its extensive catalogue, building on its initial integration with Algoriddim’s djay Pro software.

The new feature ensures that DJs, whether beginners or professionals, have seamless access to over 100 million songs from Apple Music. The integration allows them to create, rehearse, and refine their sets effortlessly across various DJ software and hardware platforms.

“Apple Music is committed to supporting DJs. With this latest integration, we’re taking that commitment even further, seamlessly connecting Apple Music with the industry’s leading DJ software and hardware,” Apple Music global head of dance, electronic & DJ mixes, Stephen Campbell said. “This innovation brings the full power of Apple Music into the creative workflow, making it easier than ever for DJs to access, play, and discover music in real time.”

From today, Apple Music users can explore a new dedicated ‘DJ with Apple Music’ category page, featuring curated DJ-friendly playlists and exclusive content tailored to different DJ platforms.

Industry leaders have welcomed the innovation with Algoriddim CEO Karim Morsy describing the development as game-changer: “The integration of DJay with Apple Music across mobile, desktop, and spatial devices opens up a world of creative possibilities for both beginners and seasoned pros. With instant access to Apple Music’s catalogue, DJs can mix anytime, anywhere—transforming the way they discover and play music. Whether using Automix for a seamless, hands-free experience or crafting their own unique sets with djay’s powerful mixing tools, this marks a major milestone in making DJing more accessible than ever.”

AlphaTheta president and CEO Yoshinori Kataoka said: “We are thrilled to bring this integration with Apple Music to DJs around the world. This marks a significant step forward in making DJing more accessible, and we couldn’t be more excited about the possibilities it opens up.”

DJ with Apple Music builds on Apple’s ongoing commitment to DJs. Since launching Apple Music DJ Mixes in September 2021, the platform has become the leading destination for high-quality DJ sets. In December, Apple introduced Apple Music Club, a live 24/7 global radio station featuring a continuous stream of exclusive DJ mixes from top artists.
