Oppo's most up-to-date Find N3 (also available on Amazon as the OnePlus Open) has a total of 5 cameras: 1 set into its 'cover' (or secondary) display; 1 similarly placed within its main folding display and 3 on the back.
Its impending successor is said to have the same camera count and lay-out, although the first 2 have been downgraded in resolution to 8MP apiece, according to the prolific leaker Digital Chat Station.
Its rear ultrawide-angle lens allegedly has the same spec, even though it is 48MP in the Find N3. The N5 apparently has a macro-capable periscope zoom camera of 70mm in equivalent length and an f-stop of 2.6: specs unchanged from the N3, although the sensor is tipped to be 50MP as opposed to 64MP in its predecessor.
The N5's main rear camera is also now predicted to be 50MP rather than 48MP as in the N3.
That hardware is said to contribute to a reduced total mass in the new Oppo foldable smartphone, bringing it down to as little as 229 grams in SKUs with glass rear panels, although the purple vegan leather version might weigh a tiny bit more.
On that note, Oppo strongly hints that it is about to launch the 'thinnest foldable' to date, perhaps even compared to the ~9.3 millimeter (mm) Honor Magic V3.
That might pan out with N5s finished in black or white glass at a projected depth of just 8.93mm when closed - however, that goes up to 9.35mm with vegan leather (still potentially favorable when compared to Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold6, though).
Oppo has confirmed some of these specs in its latest hype video, but leaves others to the imagination - until now, perhaps.
The OEM is also backed to present its largest cover display in the Find N5, extending it to 6.62 inches in diagonal length with a proportionately upgraded 2616x1140 resolution.
The device's 8.12-inch main display will be 2480x2248, according to this new leak.
It might be available with 12 to 16GB of RAM, starting at 256GB of internal storage, with a Satellite Communications Edition-exclusive 1TB option.
The Find N5's last-minute leak also predicts a 5,600mAh battery: not the best spec any more, but still impressive for a foldable smartphone. It could support 80W wired charging and 50W magnetic wireless charging.
All in all, Oppo is now believed to present its most premium device of the category tomorrow. Now, all that remains is, as Digital Chat Station says, is to guess the pricing.
